Location: East Midlands – Home based with expectation to travel within the region as per requirement of the role.
Salary: £29,479

About Us
Founded in 1997, GamCare is the leading provider of information, advice and support for anyone affected by gambling harms. We operate the National Gambling Helpline, provide treatment for anyone who is harmed by gambling, create awareness about safer gambling and treatment, and encourage an effective approach to safer gambling within the gambling industry.
The Role
This is an exciting time to join GamCare as we continue to develop and expand our treatment services. We are looking for Gambling Support Practitioners who can deliver safe, person-centred support to adults experiencing gambling-related harm.
Working within GamCare’s Model of Care, you will assess need, develop recovery plans, deliver brief and structured psychosocial interventions, and manage a caseload through face-to-face and remote delivery.
You will work within safeguarding, governance and quality frameworks, using supervision and internal processes to manage risk, complexity and continuity of care.

We are looking for someone who brings empathy, resilience and a genuine commitment to supporting people affected by gambling harms. You will have experience in a person-centred support setting and the confidence to assess need, manage risk, deliver brief interventions and work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies.
We would particularly welcome applications from people who are:
- Experienced in health, social care, addiction, mental health or another person-centred support setting.
- Confident in building supportive relationships, assessing need, managing risk and responding to safeguarding concerns.
- Skilled in evidence-informed approaches, including Motivational Interviewing and CBT-informed techniques.
- Able to maintain accurate records, manage caseloads effectively and contribute to quality, governance and performance requirements.
- Reflective, adaptable and collaborative, with the ability to travel across the East Midlands when required.

Identify, assess and manage risk, responding appropriately to safeguarding concerns and escalating issues in line with GamCare’s policies and procedures. - Delivering high-quality, evidence-informed practice
Provide brief and structured psychosocial interventions, maintain accurate case records, and contribute to service quality, governance and performance standards. - Working collaboratively to improve outcomes
Work with colleagues, referrers and partner agencies to provide coordinated, person-centred support and effective continuity of care. - Committing to learning, supervision and professional standards
Engage in supervision, reflective practice and development opportunities, ensuring your work remains safe, effective and aligned with GamCare’s Model of Care.
