About Us

Founded in 1997, GamCare is the leading provider of information, advice and support for anyone affected by gambling harms. We operate the National Gambling Helpline, provide treatment for anyone who is harmed by gambling, and create awareness about safer gambling and treatment.

The Role

The Money Guidance Service supports individuals experiencing gambling-related financial harm by providing specialist money guidance and financial wellbeing support. The role primarily involves managing a caseload, delivering tailored support via telephone and video appointments, and referring clients to external debt, money advice, and specialist services where appropriate.

The role also supports service development through outcome monitoring, record keeping, service improvement activities, and the development of tools and resources. In addition, it leads engagement and awareness work, including delivering presentations and training, building partnerships, and promoting understanding of gambling-related financial harm and available support.

About You

You will have experience providing money guidance, debt advice, or support to vulnerable individuals with complex needs, alongside managing a caseload in a remote or service-user-facing environment. You will be confident delivering tailored support via telephone and video call, assessing needs, managing risk, maintaining professional boundaries, and working within safeguarding and confidentiality requirements.

You will have experience designing, delivering, and evaluating training, presentations, or awareness sessions for a range of audiences, and be confident building effective relationships with internal teams, external stakeholders, and partner organisations.

  • Monitor outcomes, analyse service data, and contribute to service improvement and development.
  • Identify and respond to safeguarding and risk concerns in line with organisational policies.
  • Lead training, awareness, and partnership activities to promote understanding of gambling-related financial harm and available support services.

Benefits You Can Enjoy

  • 33 days basic annual leave entitlement per annum (pro-rated for part-time colleagues) including bank holidays which increases with service
  • A generous Pension Scheme - we contribute 6% and you contribute 2%
  • Discretionary company sick pay from day one of service
