About Us

Founded in 1997, GamCare is one of the leading providers of information, advice and support for anyone affected by gambling harms. It operates the National Gambling Helpline, delivers free treatment services across multiple regions in Great Britain, and raises awareness about gambling harms through a variety of prevention-based programmes.

The Role

Are you interested in transforming data into meaningful insights that drive real-world impact? Do you enjoy creating informative and visually appealing dashboards, identifying trends, and helping organisations make better decisions through evidence and insight? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

We're looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join GamCare's Data and Insights team, where you'll play a key role in helping us understand, measure and improve the services we provide to people affected by gambling harms. You’ll have robust Power BI and reporting expertise and enjoy turning complex information into clear, actionable insights that support decision-making and service improvement.

As part of our Data and Insights team, you'll lead on reporting, performance monitoring and analysis across a range of services. You'll help shape how data is used across GamCare, support colleagues to better understand performance and outcomes, and contribute to the continuous improvement of services that make a difference to tens of thousands of people every year. Whether you're identifying emerging trends, improving reporting processes, or enabling teams to make more informed decisions, your work will help drive positive change across the organisation.

About You

You are an experienced data professional who enjoys turning complex data into meaningful insights that support decision-making and service improvement. Confident working with large datasets from multiple sources, you have strong analytical skills and can identify trends, patterns and opportunities that help organisations understand performance and measure impact.

You have advanced Power BI skills, including developing dashboards, reports and data models, alongside experience using SQL and data transformation tools to extract, cleanse and validate data. You are comfortable presenting complex information in a clear and accessible way, tailoring your communication to a range of audiences.

Well organised and detail-oriented, you have the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high standards of data quality and accuracy. You enjoy working collaboratively, building strong relationships and using your expertise to improve processes, reporting and the effective use of data. Most importantly, you're passionate about using data to create positive change and deliver better outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports and data visualisations that support performance monitoring and decision-making across GamCare's services.
  • Analyse data from multiple sources to identify trends, measure outcomes and provide actionable insights to support service improvement.
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy and integrity through effective data management, validation and governance practices.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Support the development and improvement of data systems, reporting processes and automated tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Communicate insights clearly and effectively to a range of audiences, helping colleagues make informed decisions using data.

Benefits You Can Enjoy

  • 33 days basic annual leave entitlement per annum (pro-rated for part-time colleagues) including bank holidays which increases with service
  • A generous Pension Scheme - we contribute 6% and you contribute 2%
  • Discretionary company sick pay from day one of service
  • Employee Assistance Programme – 24-hour support
