Salary: £29,479 [Nationwide, excluding London], £32,074 [London]
Home-based (expectation of attendance at London office once a month) or hybrid working at London office (expectation of attendance of eight days in the London office per month); some travel across England may be required.

About Us
Founded in 1997, GamCare is the leading provider of information, advice and support for anyone affected by gambling harms. We operate the National Gambling Helpline, provide treatment for anyone who is harmed by gambling, and create awareness about safer gambling and treatment.
The Role
This is a great time to join GamCare as we are recruiting a Services Officer on a new programme which aims to prevent and reduce gambling-related harm experienced by individuals affected by another person’s gambling, known as affected others.
This new role, funded by the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID), will oversee peer support and prevention services affected others. The programme will prioritise support for key groups across England, including men, young adults (18–25), neurodiverse individuals, LGBTQIA+ communities, and people from ethnic minority backgrounds.
The Services Officer will plan and deliver an effective, responsive, safe and inclusive service for affected others in our target groups. They will monitor the quality, safety and performance of the service and provide recommendations for ensuring continuous, accessible, and inclusive support for our target groups.
About You
As the successful candidate, you will have experience of facilitating and shaping peer support interventions, and will have experience of adapting resources and services dependent on the needs of the cohort. You will have experience of delivering high-quality and safe services for adults. You will be highly organised and have strong administration skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Service Delivery - Facilitate online educational peer support spaces for affected others.
- Service Development - Develop content based on Lived Experience input.
- Safeguarding and Risk Management – Support appropriate risk identification, escalation, and recording.
- Needs Assessment - Conduct non-clinical wellbeing and support needs assessments.
- Enabling pathways to ongoing support - Support the embedding of referral pathways with internal and external services.
- Working with Lived Experience - Work closely with the lived experience community.
- Equality, Diversity and Inclusion - Embed equality, diversity and inclusion principles across all deliverables.
- Building Knowledge - Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in peer support provision.
- Monitoring and Insights - Record participation and engagement in the support spaces and suggest adaptations.
