About Us

Founded in 1997, GamCare is the leading provider of information, advice and support for anyone affected by gambling harms. We operate the National Gambling Helpline, provide treatment for anyone who is harmed by gambling, create awareness about safer gambling and treatment, and encourage an effective approach to safer gambling within the gambling industry.

The Role

This is an exciting time to join GamCare as we continue to expand our Community Outreach & Training services.

We are recruiting two Outreach & Training Team Leaders to provide operational leadership and direct delivery within GamCare’s Community Outreach & Training service. The roles will lead teams of Outreach & Training Practitioners across the East Midlands region, while also contributing to frontline delivery of outreach, early intervention and workforce education activity.

As a Team Leader, you will act as a key link between strategic oversight and frontline practice. You will supervise practitioners, model best practice and ensure delivery is high-quality, consistent, culturally responsive and aligned with national standards, treatment pathways and the National Gambling Helpline.

You will lead the delivery of community outreach activity, including brief interventions, awareness events, training and workshops, working proactively with local communities, professionals and partners to reduce stigma, raise awareness of gambling-related harms and encourage early help-seeking.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent organisational skills and the ability to balance people management with direct delivery. You will ensure services meet performance, safeguarding, governance and quality requirements, while supporting continuous improvement across outreach and training activity.

About you

We are looking for experienced and motivated leaders with a strong background in community engagement, health, social care or prevention-focused services.

You will have proven experience of leading and supporting staff, alongside experience delivering community outreach, early intervention or training activity. You will bring a strong understanding of gambling-related harm within a public health or prevention context and be confident working with diverse and seldom-heard communities.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, partners and stakeholders. You will be comfortable balancing leadership responsibilities with hands-on delivery, using insight and performance data to inform planning, improvement and engagement strategies.

The successful candidate will be organised, resilient and flexible, with confident IT skills and experience using digital systems to support delivery, data recording and reporting.
